Sources: Marshall Products/Gas on the Ropes
The company workforce was told in a recent meeting that the company may no longer be able to make its payroll. Employees were informed that Marshall Products is seeking outside financial help to continue business operations and that a second bankruptcy is being explored.
Parent company S.H. Leggitt Co. filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2010 and changed its name to Marshall Acquisitions Inc. in December, according to Bloomberg.
Several distributors reported they have had trouble reaching Marshall Products’ company contacts and that even manufacturer’s rep agencies that represent Marshall Products had no solid answers as to the state of the company or orders placed. Distributors said orders have gone unfilled by Marshall Products and in some cases have been cancelled due to the company’s unresponsiveness. Distributors have been forced to seek other sources for the products the company produces.
Repeated attempts by RV PRO to contact Marshall Products’ for comment on this story went unanswered.
Marshall, Mich.-based Marshall Excelsior, which supplies gas regulators, hoses and fittings to the RV industry, is a separate company unaffiliated with Marshall Products.
So where is that guy from Wall Street who wants to invest in the RV Industry(take over Winnebago and dismantle it) , here's a company that is ready for someone to take it over and put life back into it.
