RVDA Chairman Issues Letter to Dealers

Andy Heck RV Dealers Association chairman RVDA Alpin Haus
Andy Heck, chairman of the RV Dealers Association Board of Directors and owner of Alpin Haus in Amsterdam, N.Y., issued a letter to dealers regarding RVDA’s upcoming RV Dealers International Convention/Expo. The convention/expo is set for Oct. 1-5 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Heck’s letter said:

“As RV dealers, the only time all year that we get together for the sole purpose of helping each other and learning about ways to improve our business is RVDA’s convention. It’s a time when we and our staff members can learn valuable new business tools and techniques from professional instructors. And it’s an opportunity to gain new insights by talking with fellow dealers about the issues and challenges affecting our dealerships. In short, an enormous amount of formal and informal learning occurs.

“Each year, the Association puts an incredible amount of time and consideration into improving the show so that it continues to be valuable to dealers. Based on feedback from last year’s convention attendees, the RVDA Convention/Expo Committee is bringing back the parts and service management tracks in 2012. The tracks will offer several new speakers with very different, never before offered workshops.

“Convention/Expo Chairman Peter Albano, RV Learning Center Chief Karin Van Duyse, and the other committee members have carefully vetted and selected many other new speakers and session topics for this year’s event. Click here for a list of confirmed workshops and speakers, so far.  More workshops will be announced throughout the summer in preparation for the convention, Oct 1-5, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

“We always hear that there’s strength in numbers. RVDA is the only organization whose sole purpose is to protect dealer interests. One of the best ways to help the association remain strong and relevant is for all of us to participate in the convention. So I really hope that you’ll find the time and budget to go and also to bring key dealership personnel this year. The investment will pay off in more ways than you can imagine.”
