RVIA Seeking Items for Time Capsule

[img_assist|nid=1134|title=RVIA|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=298|height=104]As part of the RV Industry Association’s Committee Week event in early June and the industry’s Centennial Celebration, RVIA will dedicate a time capsule filled with RV memorabilia that will remain on display at the RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum for years to come. Tentative plans call for the time capsule – offering a snapshot of the RV industry in 2010 – to remain unopened for 25 years.

RVIA is encouraging companies in the industry to participate in the celebration by sending small bits of industry and company memorabilia to RVIA so that those items can be included in the time capsule. Such items can include mini-models of company products, bumper stickers, buttons, key chains and photographs; because of space considerations RVIA said larger items cannot be included.

The theme of the Centennial Celebration is a “Salute to RV Workers,” an effort to honor the hardworking men and women who are the heart and soul of the industry. Therefore, companies are encouraged to keep the theme in mind and consider including items that honor company employees.

Those companies wishing to participate should send their memorabilia to RVIA, to the attention of Bernadette Murphy. The address is: RVIA, 1896 Preston White Drive, Reston, Va. The deadline to submit items is May 14.
