Campers Inn RV Acquires Two Alabama Dealerships

Campers Inn

Campers Inn RV has acquired Madison RV Supercenter in Madison, Ala., and Southern RV Wholesale in Huntsville, Ala.

“We have been honored to be part of the RV community here in Alabama,” said Marty Shea, owner of Madison RV Supercenter and Southern RV Wholesale. “We are grateful to all of our customers, and we are proud of all the hard work our team has put in over the years. We believe that Campers Inn RV, as a values-oriented business, is the right choice to continue our customer-first RV shopping and service philosophy. We know our team will be welcomed into the Campers Inn RV family with open arms.”

Shea purchased Madison Travel Trailers, Huntsville in 1996 and quickly grew to become one of the largest dealers in the state. In 2004, they moved to their location to I-565 and later opened Southern RV Wholesale on Jordan Lane in 2016.

“We are excited to bring Madison RV and Southern RV Wholesale into the Campers Inn RV family,” said Jeff Hirsch, president of Campers Inn RV. “The addition of the two stores helps us accomplish our goal of westward expansion in order to continue our mission of being America’s RVer’s trusted resource. I have known Marty Shea for many years, from his days as our competitor in Massachusetts to serving on the RVDA board together, and he has become a good friend in the industry. The Shea’s have built an organization that shares Campers Inn RV’s core values and we look forward to working with our new team members and customers in Alabama.”

These locations will be Campers Inn RV’s first stores in Alabama as it continues to grow its network of more than 20 RV dealerships nationwide. Most recently, Campers Inn RV welcomed North Dakota’s Capital RV into the family and opened a second location in the Atlanta market.
