UVS Junction Offers Digital Marketing Courses

One of the most anticipated educational opportunities in the RV industry is set to launch in less than 60 days near Orlando, according to UVS Junction. The company’s new Junction University technology and marketing workshops will launch with the series "RV Digital Boot Camp," on Aug. 14-16, at the company’s new “state-of-the-art” learning lab in Winter Springs, Fla.

“Junction University will be blowing the whistle, busting the myths and exposing the secrets that marketing companies don't want you to know about Internet marketing and online strategies at the RV Digital Boot Camp,” said Angela Cellucci, director of UVS Junction. “Marketing companies have filled RV dealer's heads full of fallacies and misconceptions about Internet strategies. The RV Digital Boot Camp will dispel the distortion, corruption, and erroneous information.

“Attendees will learn what really works and what bad habits and practices need to be eliminated that will in turn save their dealership thousands of dollars,” she said.

The RV Digital Boot Camp is open to clients and non-clients of UVS Junction. The workshop will teach dealer principals, general managers, sales managers and RV industry marketing professionals the latest and most effective Internet strategies, how to build a business development center and team, and how to nurture a lead from start to finish, according to UVS Junction.

The boot camp is designed for RV dealers seeking hands-on training, mentoring, coaching and assistance with creating the structure and process of innovative marketing plans, Cellucci said.

“The boot camp experience includes roundtable discussions, workshops, labs and technology training that will chart the course and set the direction for effective performance in the digital landscape,” she said.

UVS Junction plans to host two Junction University workshops per month. The workshops can accommodate up to 20 individuals at one time. The company’s new computer learning lab includes an assortment of brand new 27-inch HP TouchSmart touch-screen PC computers and Apple computers.  

“It was important to have both PC's and Apple computers so all attendees can work within their comfort zone,” Cellucci said.

Douglas McDonald, the lead developer for UVS Junction, formally served as a professor at Florida's Full Sail University.

The Junction University workshops are designed to bolster the skills of dealers of all experience levels, according to the company. The educational offerings will be overseen by UVS Junction’s development team, which includes two former professors of Full Sail University. Online marketing and technology experts will regularly make guest appearances during workshops, UVS Junction said.

“The purpose of this university is for the RV industry to remain powerful. The RV industry is so far behind other industries like the automotive sector. While speaking with RV dealers every day, it's clear that there is such a drive to learn.” Cellucci said. “We feel that if we don’t start educating RV dealers now, they are going to go elsewhere to other industry trade shows that are outside the RV industry to learn about the new digital world. We want to ensure dealers are getting the right information instead of what marketing companies are trying to sell them.”  

UVS Junction’s effort to educate the industry will continue outside Junction University. The company said it will donate a portion of its Junction University registration proceeds to help support the RV Learning Center.
