Winnebago Industries has received a safety award from the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council during the 57th Annual Professional Development Conference and Expo held in Dubuque, Iowa, April 23-24. The award was presented for outstanding achievement in accident prevention both as a corporation and for the Forest City campus during the 2009 calendar year.
Winnebago Industries was one of only 170 businesses, industries and government agencies in Iowa and Illinois to receive an award for promoting active safety programs and reducing Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable injuries among their employees.
“Winnebago Industries is honored to receive this award from the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council,” said Winnebago Industries Chairman, CEO and President Bob Olson. “For the third consecutive year, our company and safety department has been recognized for ensuring a safe work environment for our employees, as well as providing the training necessary for continued employee safety. Employee safety continues to be foremost in our minds as we manufacture the highest quality and most recognized motor homes in the industry.”
