Winnebago Travel Trailers Rouse Intrigue at Rally
Monday, July 23, 2012
Travel trailers were on display at the Winnebago Itasca Travelers (WIT) Grand National Rally (GNR) for the first time since 1983, according to The Globe Gazette. The rally was held July 15-20 in Forest City, Iowa.
Winnebago Industries bought SunnyBrook RVs in late 2010 and has also started making a Winnebago towable brand of its own. To heighten awareness about the new line of trailers, 12 different SunnyBrook and Winnebago units were on display Tuesday (July 17) at the rally grounds for interested GNR attendees to view, the newspaper reported.
“I have a motor home now but as I get older I am looking at going back to a trailer,” said Charles Christian of Paris, Texas. “I used to have a fifth wheel and as I get older it might be a little simpler to go back.”
