Lippert gathered in holiday celebration at Shipshewana (Indiana’s) “Lights of Joy” with a company-hosted event for team members and their families.
On Thursday, Dec. 8, Lippert welcomed more than 5,000 team members and their families to rejoice in a symphony of colorful light scenes at Shipshewana’s Lights of Joy, a mile and a half long light display featuring more than two million colorful bulbs synchronized to classic holiday music.
Team members took what is normally a drive-through experience and transformed into a spirited walk, with children’s activities, hot cocoa, and character meet-and-greets scattered throughout. Free for Lippert team members and families, the event provided a safe, family-friendly holiday experience aimed at showing appreciation for the hard work and dedication of employees, in line with the company’s culture of caring for people.
“Having the opportunity to see Lippert partner with Shipshewana Lights of Joy was such an amazing experience,” said Michilah Grimes, director of corporate and community impact at Lippert. “Christmas is such a magical time of year to begin with, but seeing kids’ faces light up at the site of a Reindeer, Santa Claus, and Christmas lights was unforgettable.”
“There is something special about getting outside of the plant and making memories with team members and their families in different ways,” said Makayla Oberlin, HR representative. “I know for a fact that this was an experience our team members won’t forget, and they are looking forward to it again next year.”
