Leisure Time Divests Parts Business; Concentrating on Rep Business

Leisure Time Sales & Marketing has sold its RV aftermarket parts division to Heng’s Industries USA for an undisclosed sum in order to fully concentrate on its business as a manufacturer rep firm.

The sale, which includes Leisure Time’s StickNBond line of roof repair tapes and its Hush Pad “green” jack pads, was finalized before the NTP-STAG Expo, according to Leisure Time President Mike Willhoff. Leisure Time’s various aftermarket products are now being rebranded under the Heng’s name.

With the sale of its aftermarket product lines to Elkhart, Ind.-based Heng’s, Leisure Time will have more time to devote to its manufacturer rep business, which will include representing its former products on behalf of Heng’s, according to Willhoff.

The timing of the sale is opportune, Willhoff said, as his Huntington Beach, Calif.-based company took on major automotive electronics supplier Magnadyne as a client in mid-2019. He said the company has big plans for the RV aftermarket moving forward.

“With the sale, we’ll be able to give our clients our full attention,” said Willhoff, whose company also reps for a select group of other firms, including Thin-Lite. “I’m looking forward to being able to spend more time in the field representing our clients, helping them grow their brands.”

Leisure Time was founded in June 1976 by Gary Chancy with a focus on serving the marine, specialty automotive, and the RV OEM and aftermarket. Willhoff became president of the firm about four years ago after previously serving as the company’s vice president of sales and as an equity partner.
