Airstream has appointed Bryan Melton as vice president of sales, effective immediately.

Melton will now oversee all sales and distribution operations for the company’s Travel Trailer and Touring Coach divisions, as well as its national dealer network. He will report directly to company President and CEO Bob Wheeler.

“Bryan has had an impressive track record here at Airstream and we’re excited to expand his strategic leadership and his passion for our products across the entire business,” Wheeler said in a release. “In addition, Bryan has been an Airstream owner since 2007 – he knows our products, he understands our customers and he brings an incredible energy to the organization that will serve us well going forward.”

Melton joined Airstream in 2015 and has served as general manager of Travel Trailers for nine years. He has been responsible for all sales activities within Airstream’s Travel Trailer division, as well as the company’s team of regional sales directors.

The company said that, under his oversight, the Airstream Travel Trailer division reached historically high sales, contributing to Melton being awarded the 40 Under 40 recognition from the RV Industry Association in 2019.

Prior to joining Airstream, Melton built a deep career in the outdoor and cycling industries, where he held senior sales management positions at premium, industry-leading brands, Giant and Felt. Melton assumed the role from Justin Humphreys, a tenured Airstream leader and industry veteran, who announced internally that he will be vacating his position.

“During his time at Airstream, Justin has been an integral part of our success. After nearly 13 years with his sales leadership, we want to extend our gratitude for his contributions,” said Wheeler. “We wish him success in all of his future endeavors.”
