EnerSys, the manufacturer of ODYSSEY batteries, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of manufacturing the product by looking back on “the journey toward success,” it said. Through a series of digital activities set to launch throughout 2021, EnerSys will highlight special ODYSSEY battery moments over the past 25 years and showcase how “they have become the battery of choice that customers have grown to rely on for handling their transportation needs.”

“Over the years, ODYSSEY batteries have become renowned for their power, reliability and longevity for a variety of applications,” said Dave McMullen, senior director of marketing, transportation and specialty at EnerSys. “We are excited to pay tribute to such a historic product milestone. It’s been quite a journey so far and we are just getting started. We look forward to building upon our legacy of ODYSSEY battery success for many years to come.”

As part of this campaign, EnerSys will unveil a new video series that chronicles the customer’s personal journey using ODYSSEY batteries. Each video will focus on a different application to demonstrate the value and performance of the batteries across industries and demographics. Engineered with Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, ODYSSEY batteries provide twice the power and triple the life of conventional lead acid designs for a wide range of applications, according to the company.

“The goal of this program is to continue to create a sense of trust and pride in our brand,” McMullen said. “We are promoting the 25th Anniversary celebration to demonstrate how our portfolio of batteries has improved the overall power experience for our customers. Whether it’s used to start the engine in your family’s minivan, to support an onboard vehicle Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) or for a trolling motor in a fishing boat to avoid spooking the next ‘catch of the day’, ODYSSEY batteries are always ready to perform and tackle the journey ahead.”
