BILOXI,Miss. —  Arrow Distributing kicked off one of its largest annual shows to date in the company’s return to Biloxi, Miss., on Tuesday (Feb. 24).

The distributor welcomed dealership personnel on Tuesday at the IP Casino Resort & Spa during a dozen, 45-minute-long product seminars split across two tracks.

Following the seminars, dealers crowded the isles of the sold-out vendor exhibit hall during a two-hour walkthrough, followed by a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception. Specific attendance data from Day 1 wasn’t available, but had noticably increased from the 2016 event, according to Arrow’s Andy Mullin.

“The show floor looks great and attendance is up, despite some weather in the Northeast,” Mullin said Wednesday morning. “Feedback from vendors was positive at the initial walkthrough and we’re looking forward to a very active day.”

As dealers hit the show floor for a full day of exhibits Wednesday, Arrow rolls out its debut of paperless ordering at various computer kiosks throughout the show. The software suite allows digital tracking and placement of orders throughout the event.

“It (TradeWYZ) adds a lot of clarity for us, the vendors and the dealers,” Mullin said of the software ordering system. “Everybody can see what they want to see as it pertains to their business.”

Throughout Day 2, Arrow will award door prizes. Cash prizes will be announced once per hour during the exhibit period, which runs until 5 p.m., and is followed by a closing cocktail reception on the show floor.

The show is Arrow’s first at the IP Spa & Casino, but the distributor is no stranger to Biloxi. Arrow hosted its 2015 show at the nearby Beau Rivage Casino, and showcased its 2016 event in Las Vegas.

“It fits well with our event and our customers thoroughly enjoy the venue,” Mullin said. “There are a lot of opportunities for nearby dining and entertainment in addition to what the venue offers.”
