Roadmaster Makes Major Change to its Tow Bar Line

Roadmaster

According to Roadmaster, almost since inception, one of the hallmarks of its tow bar line has been the availability of a quick disconnect crossbar, which increased rigidity in early baseplate applications and has been included with Roadmaster’s tow bars ever since.

However, as the company’s baseplate lineup evolved to include an integrated crossbar, the quick-disconnect cross bar became largely unnecessary – but was included in Roadmaster tow bar kits for those customers with legacy baseplate kits. Recently, the company announced that, in the coming months, it will begin phasing out the quick-disconnect crossbars.

“Moving forward, our tow bars will be designed to connect to our more desirable direct connect baseplates, but will still attach to any existing system that already has a cross bar,” said David Robinson, Roadmaster vice president.  “For some very specific applications, such as older baseplate designs, our part number 910021-00 crossbar will be available separately.”
