Cequent Performance Products was recognized as a “Fit-Friendly Gold Level Worksite,” according to a recent news release.

The award from the American Heart Association (AHA) honors employers “who go above and beyond when it comes to their employees’ health.”

“Creating a positive, healthy environment for our employees is an important part of running a successful company,” Cequent Performance Products President Tom Benson said. “That’s why we offer a myriad of options to help our people keep their minds and bodies in shape.”

Cequent’s fitness center has bikes, treadmills, elliptical machines, circuit training machines, and free weights as well as desks that attach to several of the pieces so employees can exercise while they work. The company also holds weekly yoga classes, a yearly Biggest Loser competition, and a 10,000 steps program to promote walking.
