The Accessibility Enhanced RV line features two models: the Class B Roam Van and the Class A Inspire Bus. Both are equipped with a number of key features that make them particularly well-suited for those with disabilities.

One of the standout features of the Accessibility Enhanced RV line is the remote-controlled wheelchair lift. This lift allows independent users to easily enter and exit the coach, giving them the ability and freedom to travel and explore. The Inspire model also features wider hallways and extra space in targeted areas, making it easier for those with mobility issues to move about the RV. The Roam, on the other hand, comes with a motorized convertible sofa/bed and offers an optional pop-top for additional sleeping space. Both models also feature a galley designed with accessibility in mind, making it easier to prepare meals and snacks while on the go.

“As RV enthusiasts ourselves, we know firsthand the joy and freedom that comes with hitting the open road and exploring new places,” said a Colonial RV spokesman. “We believe that this opportunity should be available to everyone regardless of their abilities. That’s why we are so passionate about this new line, which has been specifically designed to allow veterans and individuals with disabilities to see and experience the world in a whole new way.”

Other features include built-in tie-downs to secure a wheelchair and allow it to be used as an additional seat while traveling. Both models feature accessible bathrooms, with the Inspire featuring a roll-in bath and the Roam offering an integrated shower and cassette-style toilet.

The units also come with a wide range of financing options are available, including terms up to 20 years.

For veterans, the VA offers a program that can help them afford an RV. The VA’s Adapted Housing Grants can be used to purchase an RV for use by a disabled veteran or member of their family. Veterans with a service-connected disability may be eligible for this program.

In celebration of the release of the new Accessibility Enhanced RV line, Colonial RV is hosting its 2nd annual “The Next Adventure RV Sales Event” on Presidents Days Weekend, Feb. 17-18, at its location in Millstone Township.
