Following Fire, RV Country Opens New Service Center

Fresno, Calif.-based RV Country, an RV dealer group in the West, has opened a new state-of-the-art service center to replace a service facility destroyed in a multi-million-dollar blaze in 2018. Located at 3633 S. Maple Avenue in Fresno, a re-opening celebration is planned for late March.

Founded in 1961, RV Country owns and operates ten dealerships in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

The new, expanded facility includes more than 50 service bays, a new building for detailing, a large-chassis shop with new equipment, and a paint shop.

A February 2018 fire destroyed the previous facility at a loss of nearly $3 million. There were no injuries.

“Following the fire, we quickly reorganized our workspace while the remainder of the old facility was demolished for the new construction,” said Charlie Power, RV Country VP and director of operations. “It was challenging for both our customers and our staff, and we’re grateful for their patience, support and hard work.”

Power said additional certified and master technicians are being hired to accommodate the expanded operations and services.

The new service center is a factory-authorized warranty location for every brand category the company sells, ranging from Class A and Class C motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers to toy haulers. It offers services from appliance repairs and oil changes to brakes and chassis repair.

RV Country’s motorhome lines currently offered in Fresno include Tiffin, Entegra, Holiday Rambler and THOR. Towable brand lines include Grand Design, Jayco, Prime Time, Little Guy, Taxa and Retro.

Valley Steel Construction of Fresno was the general contractor for the new service facility.
