Wilkins RV’s Charitable Foundation Hosts Golf Tournament

Wilkins RV

Wilkins RV recently hosted the 12th annual Wilkins Family Charitable Golf Tournament at the Bath Country Club Golf Course in Bath, New York, where its headquarters are located.

The tournament raises funds in support of the Patricia Wilkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Fund and benefits the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Neurology Department.

The Wilkins’ family created this event in 2011 to help find a cure to Alzheimer and in honor of current Wilkins RV president Brian Wilkins’ mother, Patricia Wilkins, who lost her battle to Alzheimer’s disease in 2013. The proceeds for the yearly tournaments go to an endowment fund that was created in 2013 with the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Neurology department. With proceeds of this year’s tournament, the Wilkins Family Charitable Foundation has grown the fund to a value in excess of $800,000.

“Thank you to all of our sponsors, family and friends that have participated in our annual golf tournament to benefit Alzheimer’s Foundation. I am humbled each year by the generosity and participation of everyone that is involved,” said Brian Wilkins. “This event is very special to our family and the Wilkins RV organization. My mother, Patricia Wilkins, had a great influence on the ‘family business’ culture that Wilkins RV still embraces today. This tournament is a great venue to honor her and thank her for all that she has done for our community and Wilkins RV. We hope that the funds we continue to raise will help move us towards a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.”
