CURT Manufacturing, a division of Lippert, has launched its new ActiveLink cargo management system, that allows for quick and easy installation of a variety of cargo management accessories onto the rear receiver hitch of vehicles.

The ActiveLink system was designed by CURT with consumer experience in mind, addressing the need for a more convenient cargo management system and the desire for a quick and easy-to-use hitch that allows for multiple accessories to be used with the same receiver shank.

The ActiveLink system is a snap to use, the company says.

“The ActiveLink cargo management system prevents the need to get down underneath the rear of your vehicle to remove the hitch pin and shank every time you need to swap out an accessory, such as bicycle carrier for a cargo carrier,” said Eric Jevanord, product manager of towing accessories for CURT. “Prior to ActiveLink, each and every time you needed a different accessory, it would require completely removing the shank from the receiver hitch, which can be a tedious and dirty task.”

The ActiveLink system utilizes a unique quick-connect shank that addresses the issue of having to install a completely new attachment each time a new task arises. The unique shank is universal and allows a variety of ActiveLink accessories to be quickly installed and used, making it simple and easy to change the hitch setup.

The ActiveLink system will feature a variety of accessories for everyday needs – from cargo-carriers to bicycle carriers.

“The ActiveLink system makes it easy to swap hitch accessories on-the-go. If you need a bicycle carrier for a family adventure, you can quickly install the bike carrier in just minutes,” said Jevanord. “Then, if the need arises to carry extra cargo on a road trip, simply remove the bicycle carrier and snap in the cargo carrier. It’s that easy – just click, load and go.”
