Last month, Blue Ox held their annual OXSMART Training on Sept. 26-27.

Twenty-seven service technicians from across the U.S. came together in West Point, Neb., to attend the 2016 Fall Session of Blue Ox’s Training, sponsored by NTP-Stag.

OXSMART is a hands-on training session conducted by Blue Ox product experts on multiple products including tow bars, baseplates, weight distributing hitches, goosenecks, braking systems, and chassis performance products. As a part of this program, Blue Ox includes all training, airfare, meals, and hotel costs in the initial tuition fee as an added benefit for Blue Ox Rewards dealers.

“We really enjoy hosting this training event for RV technicians” said Blue Ox President and CEO Ellen Kietzmann. “The attendees are eager to participate, and dedicated to learning about and learning to install Blue Ox products.

The OXSMART Training spans over two full days which includes a factory tour, introduction to Blue Ox employees and providing hands-on-training on the full portfolio of products that Blue Ox offers:  tow bars; baseplates; brakes; chassis performance, weight distributing and gooseneck hitches.

The training is an opportunity for the dealer technician partners to not only learn about the products but provide valuable insight on the product line as well as ideas for additional products for the future, according to the news release.

OXSMART graduates receive 13 hours of credit in the RVDA-RVIA Service Technical Certification program.

“We are proud that OXSMART is part of the RVDA-RVIA Technical Certification program.  Providing educational opportunities and empowering our dealers and their employees is the most important part of the Blue Ox philosophy,” Kietzmann said. “Simply put, we aren’t satisfied unless our customers are. We are proud of the progress we have made with our technical educational platforms and our partners are a valued part in helping us achieve this.”
