Parallax Power Supply Mourns Loss of Jeffery McCoy

Jeffery J. McCoy, 60, of Warren, Ind., formerly of Kokomo, Ind., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 27, at his home. McCoy worked at Parallax Power Supply.

“Jeff McCoy was a great asset to my company,” said Joe Brandon, president of Parallax Power Supply. “He wore many titles. He was deeply involved in everything from manufacturing and component procurement to education and technical training. Jeff was involved in RV power supply products from its earliest days in the industry with BW Manufacturers and Magnetek, the predecessors of Parallax Power Supply. He had a wealth of historical knowledge of not only our product, but the entire industry. He will be greatly missed by not only Parallax, but the RV industry as a whole. He was genuinely a good man and ambassador.”

McCoy was born on Thursday, Jan. 1, 1959, in Hammond, Ind., to Lex and Wilberta.  Jeff graduated in 1977 from Western High School in Russiaville, Ind. He married Karen Walker on Saturday, June 5, 1982, in Kokomo.

After moving his family to Warren in 1995, McCoy soon became very active in Warren baseball. He was a former coach from 1996 to 2015; donating his time to kids in the community for years in coaches pitch and little league. Over the years, he coached co-ed softball and was a Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts. He took pride in mowing his lawn and caring for the ball field. McCoy will always be remembered for being humble and kind.

Loving survivors include wife Karen Walker McCoy, children Jason, Timothy, Stacy and Shawn; sisters Chris and Cindy, and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lex and Wilberta, sister Jennie Cook, brother-in-law David Cook, brother-in-law Bret Walker and sister-in-law Kellie Walker.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 203 N. Matilda St. on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 1, one hour before the service.
