Outside Van, a van conversion company focused on off-grid campers, introduced a new complete sound system for its Syncline adventure van.

The sound system is sourced from Alps Alpine North America (Alpine), a manufacturer of electronic components, automotive infotainment systems and premium sound systems.

Syncline, the latest Class B RV from Outside Van, is the culmination of years of ingenuity and innovation building bespoke adventure-focused van conversions, the company said.

Built using the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 All-Wheel Drive chassis as its foundation, Syncline “promises to enable an unparalleled outdoor experience whether you’re into scaling alpine peaks, bombing dusty single tracks or working on the go.”

Outside Van partnered with Alpine to deliver a new audio package that replaces the factory rear door speakers and dashboard tweeters in the van with High-Resolution Certified speakers from Alpine’s performance line. One 8-inch subwoofer is intentionally installed behind the driver’s seat for optimal bass extension and sound performance. The subwoofer is housed in a custom enclosure designed by Outside Van that complements the interior aesthetic of the van. The entire system is powered by Alpine’s digital signal processor.

“Alpine and Outside Van share an enthusiasm for the outdoor adventure lifestyle so it’s no surprise that this partnership is built on providing the very best solutions catered to this community,” said Kunihiko Sato, executive director of the Aftermarket Division at Alps Alpine North America. “We’re excited to contribute a premium sound system to the Syncline van and enhance the entertainment experience of the adventure van customer.”

This is Alpine’s first presence in an adventure-style van.

Syncline made its first public debut earlier this month at the 2024 Florida RV Super Show in Tampa, Florida. The van is scheduled to go to market in February of 2024 and is available now for preorder. More information on the Alpine audio upgrade and Syncline can be found here.
