RVIA Honors Parish, Hopkins with Top Awards

SALT LAKE CITY – On a night when RV industry leaders gathered to celebrate the finale of the first RVX: The Experience and honor dealers who earned DSI awards as well as the second crop of 40 Under 40, the RV Industry Association also awarded its top honors to two men with long and distinguished records of serving the industry.

The event took place at The Depot in downtown Salt Lake City.

The RVIA Distinguished Service to the RV Industry Award was presented to Bruce Hopkins of RVIA.

“Bruce’s contributions to the RV Industry and to RVIA span an incredible 40 years and cannot be understated,” RVIA Chairman Garry Enyart said. “As vice president of industry standards, he is the godfather of the Industry Standards Inspection Program – one of RVIA’s core functions that impacts virtually every manufacturer, buyer, dealer and RV consumer.”

Earlier this year it was announced that Hopkins will be a member of the 2019 class of the RV/MH Hall of Fame.

The David J. Humphrey RV Industry Unity Award was given to Wells Fargo CDF’s Bob Parish, who previously served as RVIA chairman.

“In his distinguished career in the RV wholesale financing market and in his dedicated service as an RV Industry Association volunteer, he has steadfastly worked to build understanding cooperative relationships among RV manufacturers and dealers,” Enyart said.

RV Dealers Association Chairman Mike Regan and President Phil Ingrassia and RVDA of Canada Chairman Jean-Francois Lussier gave out this year’s DSI Quality Circle Awards, honoring manufacturers who received high marks on surveys of their dealer partners in the U.S. and Canada.
