Sixteen campgrounds and RV parks in Florida’s Big Bend Region are open following Hurricane Michael, according to the Florida Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.
“Our affiliated parks are cleaning up and reopening as quickly as possible,” said Bobby Cornwell, president and CEO of the Florida ARVC.
Big Bend Region parks that are now open include:

Cornwell also noted that all campgrounds and RV parks west of Panama City and east of Mexico Beach are open for business. However, many parks that are close to Panama City Beach and Mexico Beach have limited availability.
“Most of them are being used by evacuees, storm cleanup crews and insurance adjusters,” Cornwell said.
A handful of RV parks in the Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe and Panama City Beach areas are also temporarily closed or unreachable at this time. These include:
