The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) broke its own attendance record in early 2024 with 123 participants enrolling in the January RV training track.

The surge in attendance is a clear indicator of the growing interest in the RV sector, especially in the roles of RV technicians and inspectors, the academy said.

Terry Cooper, managing director of NRVTA, expressed his excitement over this achievement. “It’s truly exciting to witness such a high level of enthusiasm among RV enthusiasts and professionals. The fact that more individuals are recognizing the need for skilled RV technicians and Inspectors, and are stepping up to fill these roles, is a testament to the evolving landscape of the RV industry,” said Cooper. “Seeing people not only understand the need but also choose to be a part of the solution is a proud moment for us at the academy.”

The rise in enrollment coincides with a growing awareness of the lucrative opportunities in the field. Many are drawn to the prospect of a rewarding career as mobile RV technicians and inspectors, with the added benefit of working independently, NRVTA said. The trend is especially noteworthy at a time when the sales of RVs continue to outnumber the availability of qualified technicians needed for their maintenance and inspection.

“This disparity between RV sales and the number of available technicians highlights a critical gap in the industry. The National RV Training Academy is at the forefront of addressing this challenge by offering comprehensive training programs. These programs are meticulously designed to equip aspiring RV technicians and inspectors with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in this booming industry,” NRVTA said.

As the demand for RVs shows no signs of slowing down, the National RV Training Academy said it remains committed to its mission of nurturing and developing top-tier talent to meet the industry’s needs. The academy’s focus on practical, hands-on training ensures that graduates are well-prepared to handle the complexities of RV repair and inspections, thereby contributing significantly to the industry’s growth and sustainability.
