Aftermarket air suspension manufacturer Air Lift Company announced it has been certified by Great Place To Work.
Great Place To Work is a global authority on workplace culture, employee experience and leadership behaviors that deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.
“Our ongoing hope for our company and employees is that our vision ‘to be known as the suspension company that helped create better lives’ promotes a positive and caring culture,” Kevin Mehigh, Air Lift Company’s CEO, said. “We believe creating this type of culture helps make Air Lift a great place to work.”
This certification is the sole official recognition earned through real-time feedback from employees about their company culture.
“Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Air Lift Company stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees.”
Human Resources Director Mary Cook noted that this award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and positive culture that employees contribute daily.
“Our success is driven by both our incredible team and supportive ownership. This recognition would be impossible without their unwavering commitment and passion,” Cook said. “Our employees’ efforts in fostering a collaborative, innovative, and supportive workplace have truly made Air Lift stand out.”
There are several ways Air Lift Company has demonstrated its commitment to building a business model that is deeply invested in its people:
- Air Lift funds more than 70% of employee’s health insurance and half of the medical insurance deductible for staff through HSAs. Air Lift has absorbed the increase in insurance premiums for several years rather than passing that increase onto employees.
- Air Lift offers an incredible 401(k) match program. Employees are offered a 50% match, up to 16% of their salary, for a total match of 8%.
- Community involvement is essential to Air Lift. With an annual Spirit Week, the company raises funds for five charities the employees choose. This year, $4274 was raised for the Capital Area Humane Society, Mission 22, Cristo Rey Community Center, Ele’s Place and Blessings in a Backpack.
According to Great Place To Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.
