The Alliance RV Owners Group announced today it will conduct its first-ever owner empowerment rally, including an RV Fundamentals class exclusively for Alliance buyers, Oct. 31 – Nov. 4 at the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA).

Initiated by Alliance owners themselves, the event is design to build knowledge and give people confidence when using their coaches. It is part of Alliance RV’s ongoing owner empowerment effort, and will also include fellowship opportunities for FamAlly, the company’s term for people who own one of the firm’s luxury fifth wheels, explained Rob Boyer, an Alliance RV service liaison.

“This course is designed to help RV owners address 80 percent of issues they are likely to encounter with their RVs, thus saving them potentially thousands of dollars in repair costs,” he added. “This course is also a prerequisite for people who would like to pursue certification as an RV technician or inspector.”

During the rally, Alliance RV will sponsor a dinner one night along with a raffle for prizes. Another potluck dinner is planned which may include a costume contest on Halloween night. In addition, the company will provide a special T-shirt for participants and their spouses along with an owner maintenance kit uniquely developed by Alliance RV.

The event is being organized by Alliance owners Charles and Leslie Tyer, who will develop an agenda over the summer, including group events, such as a trip to a local winery.

Upon completion of the 40-hour RV Fundamentals class, Alliance owners will have skills to assess and troubleshoot key RV systems, including DC electrical, AC electrical, propane and plumbing, as well as the ability to maintain an RV refrigerator, air conditioner, water heater and furnace.

The registration fee includes a complimentary digital version of the RVTechcourse.com home-study course, valued at $197, which will be given upon successful completion of live training. This allows graduates to access training videos and other resources at any time.

“NRVTA is an official career college, so they do have some enrollment requirements, one of which is a high school diploma or general education certificate,” said Jim Beletti, Alliance owner experience liaison. “If an Ally doesn’t have one of those items, or have access to it, other options are available by visiting nrvta.com/admissions-process/#require.”

To register for the RV Fundamentals training event, Alliance owners should contact NRVTA by calling (903) 386-0444 to speak with a student advisor.
