Armis RV Guardian, a shield system designed to protect an RV from damage in the event of a wheel blowout, said that from now on, Trailer SumoSprings will be standard on all its all-steel RV protectors.
Armis is a patent-pending, axle-mounted tire shrapnel containment shield designed to stop serious RV damage should a blowout occur.
“Our goal is to better protect your adventures and keep you safe on the road,” said Armis President Derek Grant. “I’ve seen too many families’ hard-earned time off devastated by tire blowouts that rip through their RV. Trailer SumoSprings enhance the protection and safety Armis RV Guardian delivers.”
Trailer SumoSprings are designed and built by SuperSprings International from micro-cellular polyurethane and remove sway, hop and body roll while increasing overall driver control and comfort while towing, the company said. The suspension upgrade is fitted to the trailer by mounting above or below the trailer leaf spring assemblies and create a cushion between the axle and trailer frame. This addition reduces wear and tear on body frames, windows, doors, closets, mounted TVs and other components. Reducing sway and bounce in the trailer also limits early wear and tear often preceding tire failures.
