The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds announced a sports-themed welcome reception to kick off ARVC’s 2021 Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo (OHCE) in Raleigh, N.C. The special event takes place on Monday, Nov. 8, and will allow attendees to network and celebrate the opening of the outdoor hospitality industry’s premier event.
Sponsored by RMS North America, the welcome reception will be hosted at Jimmy Vs, a Raleigh-based restaurant dedicated to legendary North Carolina State basketball coach Jim Valvano, who passed away from cancer in 1993. Attendees are encouraged to wear gear from their favorite sports team to celebrate the start of OHCE2021.
“We’ll kick off OHCE2021 like you’ve never seen. In addition to enjoying an exciting event, attendees will make a meaningful difference in the fight against cancer just by showing up,” said David Basler, vice president of membership and marketing for ARVC. “Jimmy Vs will dedicate all the proceeds from what ARVC spends on food and beverage directly to the Jimmy V Foundation, which aims to ‘Achieve Victory Over Cancer’ through cutting-edge research. ARVC is proud to support this effort.”
The welcome reception will feature interactive games, a variety of food and beverage options and great entertainment, all included with OHCE registration.
“RMS is thrilled to sponsor ARVC’s welcome reception this year and help set the tone for the rest of the conference,” said Adelle Rodriguez, director of marketing for RMS North America. “The world of hospitality has been flipped on its head in the last 19 months, and we’re excited to have a reason to come together as an industry with ARVC and learn how to collaborate and cater to today’s campers and travelers. We hope everyone is as eager as we are.”
This opening networking event will also feature a live performance from North Carolina-based BMI singer-songwriter Josh Daniel.
