The National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC) announced a second evening reception at its 2021 Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo (OHCE) in November, which will allow attendees to enjoy valuable networking mixed with a backdrop of downtown Raleigh, N.C., hospitality and a special performance by a trio of singer-songwriters.
The event is Tuesday, Nov. 9, when ARVC hosts its OHCE2021 Tuesday Evening Reception. A food truck-style event, the reception will take place outdoors on the plaza and part of the closed street in front of the Raleigh Convention Center. Attendees are encouraged to wear their campground’s branded gear to show pride in their outdoor hospitality business—even the city’s statue of Sir Walter Raleigh will be decked out in branded gear on Tuesday night.
“We’ve always had one big reception to kick off the event, but post-pandemic, we realized everyone is excited to get back together, so we wanted to put a second reception together to give everyone extra networking time,” says David Basler, vice president of membership and marketing for ARVC. “Networking is so important for everyone at a conference and this reception will be a great way to lead right into Wednesday when we kickstart the industry’s biggest networking event – the Expo.”
The reception is sponsored this year by Spot2Nite and Tony Chachere’s and will feature a variety of food stations and great entertainment. Spot2Nite, a Louisiana-based reservation mobile app company, will be sharing their Cajun roots with attendees with a special food experience brought in by Tony Chachere’s.
The reception will also feature a special live performance from a trio of country music singer/songwriters—Lance Miller, Stephen Wilson Jr. and Rob Hatch.
