RV Day returned to the Boys & Girls Club in Middlebury, Indiana, on Wednesday.
It’s a chance for youngsters to tour a variety of RVs, some of which their parents may have had a hand in building.
“The RV industry is such a big part of our community, and a lot of the kids who come to the Boys & Girls Club, their parents work in the RV industry,” said Jim Pinkerton, marketing director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County. “But some of them maybe have never seen an RV up close or been inside an RV.”
The club partnered with Jayco and THOR starting a few years ago to have them bring different styles of RVs for the kids see inside. Pinkerton said it gives them an up-close look at some of the things their parents are working on which they’ve maybe never seen before.
