CalRVDA Asking Members to Oppose New CARB Rule

The California RV Dealers Association (CalRVDA) is asking dealers in the state and otherindustry stakeholders to oppose a new regulation under consideration by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The proposed CARB rule would effectively ban portable generators in California.

Generators built into most motorhomes and travel trailers would be included in the regulation.  CalRVDA, RVIA and RVDA have submitted comments to CARB stating generators that are installed in RVs are not “portable generators” and pointed out the negative impact the rule would have on RV dealers and California residents.

CalRVDA president and RVDA board member David Tenney of Manteca Trailer & Motorhome is encouraging all CalRVDA dealer members, RV manufacturers and other industry stakeholders to take part in the CARB meeting on this issue Dec. 9 on Zoom.
