Cold Fire Super Systems Updates Fire Suppression Program
Cold Fire Super Systems builds fire suppression systems for the places where a fire can’t wait for help to arrive: race cars, ATVs and UTVs, forestry and heavy equipment, farm machinery and motorhomes. This year, Cold Fire Super Systems rebuilt how every one of those systems is installed, tracked and serviced.
Here is what changed & what it means:
- Every cylinder has its own identity. Each cylinder now carries a serial number and a weatherproof QR label. Scan it with a phone, and you see the system’s model, size and service status. The serial number ties your system to its registration, its installer, its parts list and its full service history. Your manuals and instructions are delivered by your cylinder number, so you always get the documents for your system.
- Installed by trained, certified people. Cold Fire Super Systems launched online training and certification for professional installers and for owners who install their own systems. There is a Common Core course and a course for each system. Every certificate carries a QR code that shows the installer’s current certifications, so you can check before work starts. The company’s Find an Installer and Find a Distributor directories list the people it has trained.
- A service program built around the cylinder’s life. Your system gets an annual inspection, a 3-year service that replaces the ColdFire liquid and the O-rings, and a new cylinder at 6 years, the end of the cylinder’s life. The portal reminds you, and your installer, before each service is due. Every installation and service runs on a work order, and every part comes from the parts list for your serial number. You get the right genuine parts the first time and a service history that stays with the system.
- Installation standards you can count on. Detection tube fittings are tightened by a measured turn of the nut, the same way every time. Every detection tube gets a stainless spring guard, and composite tubing is standard on the company’s discharge lines.
- New systems for new drivers. The CTX-S1 is a 1-liter Driver Protection System built for Legend Cars and Bandoleros. The car can be replaced. The driver can’t.
- Help when you need it. Register your system online, request an estimate with photos of your vehicle or machine, and ask Cold Fire Super Systems questions through its Questions & Help page. Answers come from the company’s manuals and confirmed instructions.
- CFSS-Tracker launches Dec. 1. System health, location and inspection records for heavy equipment and forestry machines, reported by satellite so it works where there is no cell service. Order now: call 845-641-7285.
“A well-protected machine may also lower your insurance cost,” Cold Fire Super Systems said. “Check with your agent.”
