The ARVC Foundation recently raised $79,120 by the ARVC community in support of the ARVC Foundation’s educational mission and goal of supplying disaster relief to those in need.
The funds were raised through a combination of online and live events hosted by the ARVC Foundation, culminating at the 2018 Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo with the Foundation’s annual live auction which raised more than half of the grand total.
“This money raised will be placed in the ARVC Foundation’s general fund and will be earmarked for a variety of projects we are working on in support of the outdoor hospitality industry,” said Paula Horwitz, executive director of the ARVC Foundation. “It is because of the generosity of so many in the ARVC community that we are able to develop and deliver the high-quality educational programming we do, and to offer scholarships so everyone in our community has equal opportunity of access.”
The ARVC Foundation also uses funds raised to support its disaster relief program which offers grants to parks affected by natural disasters.
For the past two years, the ARVC Foundation has celebrated Giving Tuesday with a lunch at OHCE which has raised more than $35,000 combined.
Giving Tuesday donations will be accepted through the end of the year and can be sent to the ARVC Foundation c/o Ken Mowad, executive director of development, at 9085 E Mineral Circle, Suite 200, Centennial, CO 80112.
