Less than 30 days from now, Jesse Mullet, chief operating officer at nüCamp RV, will begin a West Coast to East Coast bike trip of a lifetime with one purpose: raising funds and awareness for the local charity Pure Gift of God.
This story by Beverly Keller originally appeared in The Budget Newspaper.
“My personal goal is to complete the 3,400-mile trip in 30 days,” Mullet said. “The goal of this trip is to increase awareness for adoption and to help with the funding of adoption for families in need.”
He noted that in the U.S. and around the world there are literally millions of orphans waiting for houses to call their forever homes.
Likewise, there are countless families who would love to adopt but there are hurdles and stumbling blocks. One of the biggest is the cost of the process that can range from $20,000 – $50,000. That is where Pure Gift of God has stepped up and is providing grants to families to help them overcome the financial barrier to adoption. In addition, the group helps to provide needed resources to adoptive families ranging from legal representation to mentors and counseling services as needed. Pure Gift of God is a Christian organization dedicated to transforming lives.
Mullet’s goal for the trip is to raise $150,000 by May 31. Funds can be donated via a GoFundMe page.
