Leaders at an RV dealership in Pasco, Wash., are designating July as “American Heroes month,” and Thursday they made a special trip to show their appreciation.

Blue Dog RV visited firefighters at Station 83 on Road 68, between calls, to drop off a treat.
The trade-off happened fast, with just enough time to shake fire crew’s hands as they walked in the door.
Within minutes those same crews were dashing out that same door on another.
Caleb Peterson with Blue Dog RV said Pasco firefighters have an extra-special place in his team’s heart, and he was honored to be the one handing off the gift.
“We’re just dropping off cupcakes,” he said. “We wanted to make sure they knew that we appreciate them.”
Peterson said they chose July because it is a month we celebrate our freedoms, including the safety our local crews play a huge part of maintaining.
“We very much appreciate them,” he continued, laughing. “Actually, I think they helped us put out a fire last year.”
Peterson said Blue Dog RV is inviting the public to help them help heroes.
