Demco Products announced a rolling change to its Wireless CoachLink for Demco Air Force One and Stay-IN-Play DUO braking systems, now updated as standard to include both USB cable and 12V power adapter connection options to support today’s motorhome setups as well as legacy coaches.
With many newer coaches no longer including traditional 12V cigarette-style power ports, Demco has added USB power capability to better support modern RV interiors, the company said in a release. This change gives customers a more current connection option while still preserving the simple plug-in functionality CoachLink is known for.
For legacy coaches that still use a 12V connection, the included 12V power adapter plugs into the USB cable as needed and operates the same as the current configuration. This allows one updated CoachLink package to work across both newer USB-equipped coaches and older coach setups that still rely on 12V power ports.
The Demco Wireless CoachLink is an in-cab monitoring solution for supplemental braking systems, giving RV owners a reliable way to confirm braking activity while flat towing. Developed for and tested in motorhome environments, the FCC-compliant system uses a wireless signal from the towed vehicle to provide instant visual and audible feedback in the motorhome when the brakes are applied, Demco said.
