Dometic recently conducted an educational training seminar on Dometic toilets this month for Alliance RV service technicians, and the company said its plans to offer the same presentation to other manufacturers in the future.
Ten members of the Alliance RV service team participated in the training with more members watching virtually.
The training focused on the 310 gravity flush and 7650 macerator toilets. The RVO team covered the “do’s and don’ts” of toilets, including:
- How to replace a seal
- How to prep the black tank before a trip
- How the macerator wet flush and dry flush options function
- How to maintain toilets to keep them running properly
The seminar also provided the opportunity to discuss common field issues and the three main service issues with toilets: problems with the bottom floor gasket, the center flapper seal and the water valve. The RVO team used a Dometic toilet in Alliance RV’s service bay to demonstrate proper maintenance and repair techniques during the training.
“This training is an investment that pays off for RV manufacturers like Alliance RV,” said Brent Clark, senior business development manager for RV OEM. “It was a great opportunity to further educate our customers about Dometic product and empower them to continue to improve RV customer experiences as they navigate the country in their Alliance RVs.”
