Dometic will be sponsoring the “We Are Messengers” Benefit Concert, a charity event organized by Elkhart, Indiana-based charities Isaiah 6:8 Ministries and Kuyamba Ministries, supporting those in need in Honduran and Ugandan communities. Funds raised from the event will help send food, clothing and other necessities to improve the standard of living in villages in both countries, as well as help fund the development of a school, medical facility, feeding programs and a church. This sponsorship marks one of several efforts Dometic has endorsed in support of local programs and charities in Elkhart.
The concert will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 8, at First Baptist Church in the nearby city of Bristol. Performers scheduled to take the stage include GMA nominated and K-Love winning artist/band, We Are Messengers, and popular Christian artist Leanna Crawford. Featuring these top artists in the Christian music community, the event will bring more than two hours of music, worship, and fun to Indiana’s Michiana area.
With more than 11 years of experience organizing mission trips to Honduras, Isaiah 6:8 Ministries has supplied thousands of children and their families with food, clothing, and essentials. Their team looks forward to continuing these efforts with funds generated from July’s benefit concert. Kuyamba Ministries, which concentrates efforts on Ugandan communities, has purchased land in Uganda where they plan to build a STEM school, first-aid medical clinic, feeding center, and a church. In addition to providing food and general supplies, funds from the concert will be used to establish a scholarship that will assist people from the Elkhart area to join mission trips to these countries.
“Dometic is proud to support Isaiah 6:8 Ministries and Kuyamba Ministries for this event. Having these organizations in Elkhart is a blessing to our community – their kindness, leadership, and love for people knows no bounds,” said Sara Dover, Dometic RV Brand Manager “We are happy to do our part in supporting our community’s initiatives to make the world a better place both locally and abroad.”
