RV industry suppliers American Technology Components and KIB Electronics, both of Elkhart, have announced their merger.
Former ATC owner Steve Haines will serve as CEO of the combined companies, while KIB owner Mike Hoover will remain active as a board member, according to the Elkhart Truth.
“From our first conversations, Mike and I knew that combining our established, successful companies created significant synergy to better serve our customers and position us for future growth,” Haines said. “We’re excited to move forward together as partners with our collective, extraordinary people, innovative design solutions and demonstrated manufacturing capabilities.”
Both companies provide RV, fleet and specialty-vehicle manufacturers with custom designed electronics and plastic components and have done so for the past three decades. The acquisition allows expanded product offerings for both companies and an opportunity to better serve their customers, a news release issued by the company says.
“For the last 35 years, KIB has provided our customers with design, engineering, and manufacturing services with a focus on customer satisfaction,” Hoover said. “I look forward to working with Steve and playing an active role in the success of the combined organization.”
LePark Mold & Tool, which was owned by KIB, will continue to work closely with its customers from prototype to production and on-time delivery with exceptional customer service, the release said.
