Ember RV Introduces Tandem Independent Suspension Floor Plans

Ember RV

Ember Recreational Vehicles introduced two new floorplans featuring tandem trailing-arm independent suspension systems made by CURT, an American company owned by Lippert. The tandem independent suspension floorplans – the 201FBQ (Front Bed Queen) and the 221MDB (Murphy/Double Bunk) – are variations on two of the companies most popular floorplans: the 171FB and 191MDB, respectively.

In making the announcement, Chris Barth, founder and COO of Ember, said, “Once again, these floorplans are in response to actively listening to what our customers are asking for. We have strong customer demand for floor plans with a north/south walk-around bed and also frequent requests for when they would be able to buy a larger, tandem axle-equipped floor plan from Ember.

“Not only do we have a capable and eager internal development team at Ember ready to meet these demands, we’re also lucky to have great partners like CURT who help us deliver what our customers are asking for.”

Both new floorplans are stretched, widened and enhanced versions of Ember’s two most popular floorplans that ride on Ember’s Trailblazer chassis, featuring the dual CURT independent suspension systems paired with Goodyear off-road tires on each side.

The 201FBQ Tandem Exterior

The 201FBQ is a 24-foot long, 96-inch wide couples’ coach/non-bunkhouse layout featuring a walk-around residential queen bed (60-inch by 80-inch) in the front with enhanced storage in the bedroom, large pantry space in the kitchen, a hidden wardrobe with extra storage space, and a much larger front pass-through storage area. It also features a 16-foot awning, storage sofa slide-out and 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator.

The 221MDB

The 221MDB is a 26-foot long, 96-inch wide bunkhouse floor plan featuring Ember’s first walk-around residential queen Murphy bed (60-inch by 80-inch) in the front, ample storage in the new sofa slide-out, extra countertop space in the kitchen, additional pantry storage and 600-pound rated, double-over-double bunks in the back. The enlarged 18-foot awning covers the standard outside kitchen and the inside kitchen features a 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator.

Ember is currently producing the 201FBQ, which will land on dealers’ lots in the coming weeks, with the 221MDB coming in mid-June.
