Ember RV, which began manufacturing RVs in 2021, has started production of its newest addition to the Overland Series of products: a new floorplan known as the 191MSL.
The new single-axle, independent suspension floorplan features a versatile area in the back of the coach with the use of E-track, a standardized cargo control system from the transportation industry which allows the owner to customize the space to their needs.
“This new floorplan is a direct response of the development team reading through nearly 2,000 comments that were posted on a video of our first floorplan we brought to market, the 191MDB, that went viral with nearly 200,000 views,” said Chris Barth, founder and chief operating officer at Ember. “We noticed that, while customers are excited about the unique feature set we offer with our Overland Series and are impressed with the floorplan design of the 191MDB, there was a common request about the bunk space from many customers. Our fans want a version of this floor plan that is even more versatile, without the fixed bunks and outdoor kitchen. So that’s exactly what we did! We listened to what our customers were asking for and found a way to deliver a floorplan that allows the owner to do what they want in the flex space.”
The 191MSL (Murphy/ Sofa/Locker) is a 22-foot floorplan with Ember’s Murphy bed, a new sofa slide-out design with storage cubbies behind, and a rear “locker” storage area featuring what the company said is an industry-first – the EmberTrack E-Track Bunk/Storage System gives customers the flexibility to do with the space as they want.
It comes standard with two single bunks, rated at 300 pounds each, which can be moved up and out of the way or turned into a desk for a mobile office space. Others may choose to use them as shelves or completely remove the bunks and seek out other aftermarket accessories available through third-party suppliers, allowing customers to customize the space even further. This floorplan also features a large cargo door in the locker area complete with a removeable screen for easy loading of gear and ample airflow when in camp-mode.
“From the beginning, I’ve challenged the team to always stay open to listening to what our customers are saying, remain nimble enough to respond accordingly when we can, and stay open to innovation,” said Ashley Bontrager, founder and CEO of Ember. “The new 191MSL is a perfect example of what listening to your customers can do for innovation and the result the team produced is exciting! I’m very proud to bring this unique offering to market and eager to see what our customers will do with the customizable space.”
Just like all other Overland Series models, the 191MSL starts on a stronger foundation: Ember’s industry-leading Trailblazer Chassis featuring the Curt Independent suspension with heavy-duty coil springs and dual shock absorbers on each side along with the standard Goodyear off-road tires. It also includes the 55-gallon freshwater tank, 35-gallon gray tank and 35-gallon black tank, and the standard solar package straight from the factory. It’s backed by Ember’s easy as 1-2-3 warranty – a one-time transfer, two-year limited base warranty and a three-year limited structural warranty.
191MSL units will be landing on dealers’ lots soon. To learn more about the 191MSL and view a 360-degree tour of the floorplan, click here.
