Parker Holloway and Kate Murphy of the logistics operations division of the Federal Emergency Management Agency(FEMA), will present a workshop on the role of RVs in FEMA’s temporary housing mission at the 2019 RV Dealers Convention/Expo. The Expo takes place Nov. 11-15 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Holloway and Murphy’s session, “FEMA: RVs Role in the Temporary Housing Mission,”will be delivered twice on Thursday, Nov.14; once at 3:15 p.m. and again at 4:30 p.m. In addition to the repeated workshops,Holloway and Murphy will give a preview of the session on Wednesday, Nov. 13, during RVDA’s annual meeting.
FEMA uses travel trailers as one solution to its temporary housing mission. Attendees will learn how RVs are making a difference in the first steps of the long-term recovery process. The sessions will focus on the details of a housing mission, how RVs fit into that mission, FEMA’s expectations when buying a travel trailer, and the lessons learned from the 2017-2018 hurricane seasons.
