Travelcamp RV has expanded its footprint in the Southeast by opening sales and service facilities in what the company called three growth cities: Clermont, Florida; Memphis, Tennessee; and Statesville, North Carolina. The company said it based its decision on each city’s projections for increased economic development and growing employment base as their respective populations increase.
“We selected these cities because we see an opportunity to expand into markets well-positioned for economic growth,” said John O. Blanton, Travelcamp’s chief operating officer. “These markets also have a high interest in the recreational lifestyle and have a skilled employee base that aligns well with the auto industry.”
As Travelcamp grows, the company said the three new locations will provide it with an additional 56,000 square feet of sales and showroom space. The recently opened dealerships will provide 14 additional full-service bays and employ both technical and professional workers.
“Our goal is not only to make a long-term economic contribution to these communities but also to provide customers with top-notch product selection and an unsurpassed buying experience,” Blanton said.
Travelcamp employs more than 300 people in 15 locations in states from Florida to Texas to South Carolina, offering sales, service and consignment.
