“We’re grateful the weather held,” said Heather Leach, PRVCA executive director. “While attendance was down slightly from last year due to hurricane impacting North Carolina and Virginia, it was still a great show. We received a lot of positive feedback from the manufacturers and dealers that they had solid sales.”
PRVCA hosted educational seminars on Monday, Sept. 10, and Tuesday, Sept. 11. Professional trainers provided sessions on Atwood/Dometic, Cummins, Horizon Global, Lippert, Marshall Excelsiar, MORryde, SealTech, Thetford and Tekonsha.
In addition, the association hosted a 50th anniversary dinner and silent auction at the AACA Automotive Museum. The celebration featured awards to Tom Schaeffer’s Camping and Travel Center for supporting and participating in PRVCA’s education programs; Dan Saltzgiver, Camping World of Hanover, for his dedicated 14-years of service as America’s Largest RV Show chairman; and to Brad Rhone, Rhone’s RV, for his leadership and support during his term as PRVCA chairman.
In addition, Ed Flick, retired Fulton Bank, received the first Rebecca Lenington Volunteer of the Year award for his extraordinary service to PRVCA. The award is named for PRVCA’s former executive vice president who served the association for more than 37 years.
Next year, the show will be held from Sept. 10 to 15 at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa.
