The 2018 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will feature two new speakers, Tony Gonzalez and Jordon Schoolmeester, from Garage Composites who will present six, one hour-long workshops in the sales, fixed operations, and dealer/GM tracks. The convention/expo is the premier education and networking event for North American RV dealers and takes place at Paris Las Vegas, Nov. 5 to 9.
Gonzalez’s first of three presentations, “Take Control of Your Day,” commences on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 10:15 a.m. Those who attend this session will learn 12 key tasks that should be implemented each day to have the greatest impact on their business’ success.
The next presentation for Gonzalez, that is also in the dealer/GM track, “The Normalization of Deviancy is Affecting Your Bottom Line,” picks up after the expo on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Attendees of this workshop will walk away knowing how to identify the characteristics of leadership that are needed to ensure that normalization of deviance decreases in their dealership.
Gonzalez’s final workshop, “Get More People to the Desk,” is at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday and those that attend this presentation will learn how to turn window shoppers into buyers. The session is in the Sales Track.
Schoolmeester will also host three workshops, all of which take place on Thursday, Nov. 8 and are in the fixed operations education track.
The first session he will host is entitled, “Service Selling Process: Increase the Profit of What’s Already on Your Lifts,” at 10:15 a.m. In this workshop, Schoolmeester will discuss how dealers can successfully add more hours to every invoice. This seminar will also focus on the science of selling and how this process can be engrained into the conversation of every service writer/advisor.
Next, at 2:00 p.m. following the expo, Schoolmeester’s workshop, “Technician Efficiency: Keeping Your Surgeons in Surgery,” will teach attendees about role specific tasks in the service department, how to build appointments and schedules, and templates to use for morning meetings and nightly preps.
His final presentation, “Relationship Selling in Parts and Accessories,” begins at 4:30 p.m. and will look at the characteristics of parts and accessories employees, what a good “greet” looks like, and how to drive purchases specifically toward the customer.
