General RV celebrated the grand opening of its Ocala Supercenter on Wednesday, March 20. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, conducted by General RV President Loren Baidas and CEO Rob Baidas, kicked off the festivities.
Guests included RV manufacturer representatives, RV industry members and local government officials. The event was open to the public. Many area residents and prospective customers also stopped in to tour the Supercenter, view new RVs on display and enjoy the catered lunch.
In brief remarks, Loren Baidas thanked the Ocala Chamber and Economic Partnership for their support, as well as several other local partners that helped as the dealership was being built over the past several months.
“We are very excited about having General RV join our growing community. In the business world, a ‘family-owned’ business is something special. It makes the difference,” commented Joe Reichel, Director of Business Advocacy for the Ocala Chamber and Economic Partnership.
General RV has been a family-owned business since the beginning. The company was founded by Abe Baidas in 1962. Now in its third generation of family ownership, and with 13 Supercenters nationwide, General RV is proud to call itself the nation’s largest family-owned RV dealer. The Ocala Supercenter is the company’s third Florida location.
General RV Ocala is located at 13150 SW 16th Avenue, off of Interstate 75 at Highway 484. The Supercenter offers more than 500 RVs for sale, 38 service bays, and a state-of-the-art painting facility. There is also a large retail store with a wide selection of RV parts and accessories.
