General RV Center Named ‘Fast 50’ by Crain’s Detroit

General RV Center

General RV Center, based in Wixom, Michigan, was recognized as the 12th fastest-growing business in Michigan by Crain’s Detroit.

The annual list ranks Michigan companies by their increase in revenue measured in both dollars and percentages from 2018 to 2021.

Companies must also certify that they have been profitable in order to qualify for consideration.

General RV has been previously recognized by Crain’s Detroit in the publication’s Private 200 and Michigan’s Largest Family-Owned Companies lists. Last year, General RV ranked 13th on the Fast 50 list.

The new Fast 50 award announcement comes as the family-owned RV dealer is celebrating 60 years of business. General RV has grown exponentially despite the pandemic and supply chain challenges, with revenue increasing more than 31% from 2020 to 2021.

“We have experienced record growth in multiple areas with strong RV sales, several construction and expansion projects, continuous hiring of new talent and more,” said Loren Baidas, president of General RV Center. “Over 100,000 people walked through our doors in 2021, and we delivered more than 22,000 RVs to customers. On top of that, we are celebrating our 60th anniversary with special events for customers and employees.”

To help meet demand and continue providing world-class experience for customers, General RV has continually reinvested in its dealerships and facilities. The company recently completed a $10 million dollar expansion of its RV service center in Tampa, Florida. Additionally, in April 2021, it opened a new RV Inspection Facility located near Elkhart, Indiana. General RV also opened its 14th RV dealership in Pennsylvania last year.
