General RV is moving ahead with plans to build and operate its first RV dealership in the Tarheel State.
According to reporting done by the Salisbury, N.C., Post, General RV is proposing purchasing a 40-acre piece of land to build a new $25 million dealership. The proposal will be heard by the Rowan County Board of Commissioners today.
In its plans, General RV said it will invest $25 million within the next three years to build and open the full-service dealership and service center on the property. Eventually, the facility would employ about 150 people with an average annual salary of $65,000.
The paper quoted the Rowan Economic Development Council as saying it expects the dealership to lead to the creation of 66 indirect and induced jobs that will generate $4,029,689 in annual employee wages and benefits.
