Giant RV recently held its grand opening for the Downey, Calif., location on Friday, April 20. Among the civic leaders attending the celebration were Mayor Pro Tem Rick Rodriguez; Joanna Peterson, president of the Downey Chamber of Commerce; Fire Chief Mark Gillaspie; and Captain Dean Milligan with the Downey Police Department.
Several other attendees included members of the Downey Chamber of Commerce, Downey Unified School District, Downey Symphony, and Cerritos College as well as Ana Perez and Aldo Ramirez representing the 32nd Senate District office.
Giant RV was awarded a certificate from the city by Mayor ProTem and a plaque by the president of the Chamber. A special donation of $1,000 was presented by Giant RV’s Frankie Barouti to Fire Chief Mark Gillaspie and Police Captain Dean Milligan for the Downey Police & Fire Foundation.
The 11-acre facility showcases 100 different RVs in the 100,000-square-foot indoor showroom. Giant RV Downey is located at 11111 Florence Avenue, where the 5 frwy meets the 605 frwy.
