GoCamp, a subsidiary of Storyteller Overland and leader in the camper van rental industry, has named Tyler Duke its new CEO.
Duke is currently chief technology officer of Storyteller Overland and will step into his new role as former CEO Camila Ramirez and Janice Hsu move on to new adventures.
For over a year, Duke played a pivotal role in shaping GoCamp’s technology, advising on strategic initiatives and reenvisioning the consumer-facing product that enables rentals on GoCamp’s peer-to-peer platform, the company said.
Now, with Duke leading GoCamp as the CEO, GoCamp said it is positioned to put technology enhancements at the forefront of the business, helping grow to new heights with a fresh perspective on strategic thinking and evolution of the business model.
“I am excited for the opportunity to work with such an amazing team, while we work for such an incredible owner community. We focus on creating amazing experiences that become lasting memories, which is the best success metric there is. It’s an honor to do all of this alongside such talented and passionate people,” Duke said.
Duke’s vast experience in technology, strategy and operations for start-ups makes him a desired CEO for GoCamp. His proven track record of building and motivating teams, while expediting expansion efforts, puts GoCamp in great hands as part of the Storyteller Galaxy.
GoCamp’s leadership team is complemented by Melissa Kroger. Kroger brings 10-plus years of experience working with digital brands to build new audiences, increase revenue and develop creative marketing solutions in competitive markets. As vice president of growth and experience, Kroger manages the Customer Experience team driving personalized experiences for owners and renters, while overseeing marketing initiatives and leading strategic operational decisions.
Rounding out the leadership team is Claire Witcomb as operations manager. With many years of experience in risk management and finance, Witcomb now oversees the day-to-day financial needs of the business, internal processes and systems, and protection plans for renters and owners.
